Our company began operation in December of 1996, supplying a solo pianist to a hotel in Shah Alam. It has since grown to become a provider of excellent music entertainment to all kinds of establishments, from homes to hotels, residences to resorts, and anything in between. We work with a pool of talented musicians who freelance for gigs, apart from belonging to establishments, bodies and orchestras. Some of them come from RTM, the National Symphony Orchestra, the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, etc. Many of them have more than 15 years of experience, while quite a few are fresh faces with lots of star potential. For each performer, being a freelancer means myriad opportunities to ‘jam’ with many other talented and famous musicians and artistes.

Marcus begun his formal music education in Yamaha Music School at the age of 4. Beginning with class recitals then moving on to regional and then international performances under Yamaha Music. He has since performed all over the country and has even been a member of groups representing the country in international showcases in Singapore and Japan.

Started music lessons at the age of 4. His first instrument was the electronic organ, also known as the Electone, and later he picked up playing the piano, too. Marcus also plays the violin, clarinet and drums.

Backbone of any ensemble
Some of his noted performances was when he was aged 12, in Singapore @ Kallang Indoor Theatre, where the VVIP was the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew.
Marcus also represented the country 5 times at the Junior Original Concert held in Japan, one of which was in Osaka for UNICEF’s charity event.
Marcus performed for YDPA Sultan Azlan Shah at the age of 17 in the first ever royal performance held at Shangri-la Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Since then, he has assisted with all music entertainment for Sultan Azlan events, namely The Sultan Azlan Law Lectures, since the year 2000.
To date, MDT Music Enterprise has provided music entertainment for well-known companies and public figures such as Shell, Petronas, AIA, Prudential, Great Eastern, MAA, Maybank, Public Bank, Sultan Nazrin of Perak, Tengku Abdullah of Pahang, Sultan Sharafuddin of Selangor, Tunku Imran, Tunku Naquiyuddin & Tunku Dara of Negeri Sembilan, to name a few.
